To me, this current preoccupation about sex, and having a 'potty mouth' is straight out of 1984's idea of
"Quack, Quack" with the sex part from "Brave New World" with any future males clonned. Take the ideas from the original "Robin Hood" on how most of us will be serfs and you have a idea of what I see as part of this 'mind set'.
Right now companies like Monsanto as well as the US government are backing Genetically Modified foods and plants. What would happen to many of the consumables that take a long time to prepare. That usually just happens to be prepared using some kind of bacterial culturing?
What would happen if for some reason they were to suddenly reverse this idea? Companies out of business?
Would it happen, would they do it before they get irradiation approved? Irradiation seems to produce fluoride which has been proven to be poisonous and irradiation also kills the beneficial bacteria and enzymes.
Will allergy sufferer get a class action law suit against pesticides and herbicides?
Food Poisoning: E-Coli at source or did the E-Coli develop in someone's gut after getting a cut of meat with antibiotics, herbicides or pesticides in it?

Natural (from flowers) perfumes would also concentrate the additives.
Plants can live without us, we can not live without them.
So a space faring race seeing that we are committing suicide by adding toxins to our foods / eatable bacteria would they contact us?
Allow that disease to spread?
Allow us to poison their plants / bacteria / food?
Allow the kind of mind set that would have control at all costs to spread?
Allow that kind of narrow mind set that would go for a monopoly under the guise of "Survival of the fittest" at the cost of "survival of the species" to spread?
We are quarantining ourselves quite well, how long do we have?
To believe that there will be anywhere safe.
The Bacteria will pick up that adaptation.

If a plant / flower were after a fertilizer / pollinator would they compete for that fertilizer / pollinator?
